You can also reserve a hen already laying or an adult rooster. Hens are $25 each Roosters are $15. 
Reservations are $10 per adult chicken or $10 for a group of 6 chicks.​

We currently have a mixed flock with a majority of Whiting True Blue.
​As the name implies they lay blue eggs. They were developed by Dr. Whiting in the 1990's by crossing the Leghorn and Ameraucana breeds and selecting for true blue eggs. This means unlike other colored egg layers that have a white shell inside, these chickens' eggs have a powder blue shell inside and out. They are also prolific egg layers. Not only do you get beautiful blue eggs, they lay over 300 eggs a year! 

​What we love about this breed is the variety of colors the mature birds can be. Unlike other breeds that are uniform in appearance, Whiting's end up anything from a dove gray, to a buff, to barred markings. Every hatching is a surprise! These guys are agile and fast. Great for free ranging. In addition to being super handsome with amazing coloring, the roosters tend to be less aggressive than other breeds. The roosters prefer to herd and run away from danger with their flock rather than attack.

This breed is relatively low maintenance. They have a low feed input, with an excellent feed conversion to egg production ratio.
