Animal Sales Policy
We strive to make getting your new animal from us a positive experience. The following guidelines are in place to ensure the satisfaction of both parties.
We reserve the right to refuse to sell an animal to anyone at any time. We will refuse to sell you an animal if we feel you will not provide a healthy and stable environment for the animal. Including adequate shelter, stimulation, and food requirements. We will not sell you an animal if we feel you are being disrespectful to us or have misrepresented yourself. So don’t be a jerk or a liar. If you refuse to pay for an animal, you will not be sold an animal. If you refuse to provide basic information about yourself and your animal’s new environment, you will not be sold an animal. If we feel for any reason our animals will not be safe with you, you will not be sold an animal.
WE DO NOT SELL ANIMALS TO ANYONE UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE. If you are under 18 years of age you must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at the time of sale.
ALL SALES ARE FINAL. We take care to ensure you are getting a healthy animal to take home. We visually inspect them for deformities. It is your responsibility to also check the animal at the time of sale and your payment in full and removal of the animal from our farm by you is an agreement by you that said animal is healthy, of the correct sex (if applicable) and free of deformities. We are not responsible for any health issues or deformities that occur after the sale.
We will give you basic care and handling instructions for all animals. You must bring a safe enclosure to ensure the animal gets to the destination safely. All All animals will go home with a zip lock bag full of the current food being fed to the animal for the transition. We will also give you details of such feed so you can opt to continue to feed the animal the same. Otherwise, it is up to you to transition the animal to a new feed.
Reservations of animals can be made by filling out the appropriate form. Reservation fees vary by animal and can be found on the page the form is located on. If a reservation fee has been paid and we refuse to sell the animal to you, that fee will be refunded. If you are unable to follow through with the purchase of the animal, we will keep your reservation fee.
We do not ship animals. All pickups must be done at our farm in Groton, NY. If you are unable to pick up an animal at a specified agreed upon time, we can board that animal for an extra fee. This fee will be discussed and agreed upon before pickup. This boarding fee will be paid along with the balance of the sales price at pickup. If you are unable to pick up your animal within one week of the agreed date, the animal will go up for sale and your reservation fee will be forfeited.
No animal will be released to you without it being paid for in full. We accept cash.
If you are no longer able to care for your animal, you can contact us. We will take it back if there is space available. There will be no refunds.
We are here to help. Any questions about the care of your animal can be directed to us at any time. We will do our best to answer any questions or direct you to the appropriate resources.
